The Lord Our God Is Just

Theme: The Lord Our God Is Just
Readings:1st-Gen 32:22-31
2nd-2 Tim 4:1-5
3rd-Lk 18:1-8
Preacher: Rev Dr Kwame D. Ansong

We can never understand how God works. God singles out Jacob (a trickster) to
receive a blessing. Jacob had to struggle in the first reading with an angel of
God (unincarnated Lord Jesus Christ). Jacob had his name changed from a 'trickster'
to Israel which means Prince of God. This clearly tells us that God does not look
at backgrounds. God wants to give each one of us an opportunity to change.

2 Timothy 4:1-5 just reassures us that God is just. God knows us and He calls us
by name. He has said in His Word that He is with us and He would not forsake us.

The third reading tells us about the persistent widow. The lawyereventually granted
her her request. How much more the Lord God our God? The distance between God and us
is prayer. No matter what we find ourselves going through,God will not unnecessarily
delay the answer to your prayer. He won't let you go unattended to. He leads us beside
the still waters.

If you give all yourself to God; He will reveal to you all of Himself. God is a just God
and He is ever ready to stretch a loving hand.

Fear not! I'm with you.
Fear not! I'm the loving God.
Fear not! I'm the loving Father.
